The ranch features some of the most beautiful terrain found in South Texas. The ranch is rolling having several higher vantage points with beautiful, panoramic views of the South Texas brush. The native brush here provides excellent natural habitat and food sources for wildlife. The JHA has been intensively managed for typical South Texas whitetail deer for over 20 years and it shows in our beautiful trophy whitetail bucks, exotic game animals and abundant Rio Grande turkeys.

There are several prominent draws throughout the ranch, including over four miles of Spring Creek and its tributaries that continue downstream to the Nueces River. And there are beautiful ponds stocked with bass, bluegill and catfish for anglers’ enjoyment.

The JHA is conveniently located, being just an hour from San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Texas. Commercial air service is convenient to the ranch from both cities and private air service is readily available from Live Oak County (8T6) airport (10 minutes from the JHA) and Beeville Municipal (BEA) airport (just 20 minutes away).
